San Pedro Town is reaching functional capacity. Driving down our main street at 8 am in the morning will show you bumper to bumper golf carts – which is exciting as it is always fun to go zipping around town in a golf cart, but it is also a strong indicator that another town on Ambergris Caye will develop in the near future. The Secret Beach area is just starting to become that area. From a year ago, when the Secret Beach area had only one restaurant and plenty of crystal-clear water and white sandy beaches, it now has 5 restaurants, a boutique hotel, and various smaller shops that rent “fun” such as kayaks, motorized surfboards, paddleboards, and floating tubes.
